On Thursday 6th October (yesterday), an amazing Harvest Service was attended by the children , staff, families and friends of Sandgate Primary School.
Kate McNeice welcomed us warmly into St. Paul’s Church to celebrate harvest and to say thank you for all we have and for all that we can give.
This year’s theme was ‘ONE WORLD’, focusing on the way we can all reach out to others, sharing out what we have. ‘No man is an island’ was the message – together, we can all work together and support each other – as a school, a local community, within our country and as a global community.
Thank you to you, the Sandgate community, who generously donated food items for the Food Bank and Age UK.
Thank you to all the parents, grandparents and friends of our school who accompanied the children on their walk to and from the Church, and also to Mr Rigden who supported our harvest singing on the piano. Thank you to Kate for leading the service and to all the staff who helped organise and create such superb year group acts of celebration with the children.
